They all started out riding dirt bikes when they were young.  Of course for Andrew that was a really long time ago! LOL  These dirt bikes were constantly being outgrown and upgraded Karl would get a new one and Jeffrey would get the hand-me-down.  Soon Karl tired of the dirt bike and wanted to venture into ATV territory.  His first ATV was a 1999 Yamaha Blaster.  It wasnt long before Jeffrey wanted to ride Karls quad and he too wanted one.  When it was time for another upgrade, Karl outgrew the Blaster, we ended up getting something with a little more LASTING power.  Karl was the first to get a brand new Yamaha Raptor 660.  Jeffrey got the Blaster.  Andrew was still on a dirt bike currently a Kawasaki KDX 200 and totally happy and wasnt too interested in getting a ATV himself. 

 

This all changed in the summer of 2004 when they all took a trip to the Oregon Dunes. Karl and Jeffrey on their quads with sand tires and Andrew on his bike with sand tires.  Karl had plenty of power, Jeffrey needed more but still had a great time and then we have Andrew who now was seeing the need for a quad himself.  He rode the Raptor a few times and was soon hooked on the idea of getting a quad himself!  Jeffrey was outgrowing the Blaster and wanted a YFZ 450 and Andrew now wanted a Raptor for himself.  After much debate and research Andrew and Jeffrey both bought new Raptors at the same time, different colors of course.

 

So thats how they all ended up on Raptors.  Then Karl and Jeffrey wanted to race so in 2004 they raced a few times and decided 2005 would be the year they would race a whole season.  This peeked Andrews interest as well and he too decided to race with his boys.  So thats the short version of how JAK Hannah Racing came about.
