not a mother, though I hope to be some day.
not a mother and I plan to stay that way.
2. Should a mother choose a profession or hobby that endangers her life?: No! A mother should not risk leaving her child mother-less on a regular basis.
Yes, if she wants to and feels it is her calling.
It depends on whether she is raising the child alone.
3. If I do have a child (or when I did), I will stop work...: only as long as I have to be off my feet.
for a few years, until my child is in school.
until my child is in junior high, at least.
4. If my partner wanted to care for our child at home...: I would welcome the idea.
I would suggest we both work part-time.
I wouldn't want to give up that time at home with my child.
