I just learned to fly fish, so I've been visiting Orvis' site. I can't help drooling all over my keyboard as I browse through their online catalog. Now it's just a matter of saving the bucks so I can take the plunge.

Janet
Quantum Books: My full-blown geekdom was revealed to all at Tripod when my Quantum order arrived (next day!) and I hugged my new HTML Sourcebook.

Wordsworth: Because one cannot live by spec alone.

The Cat Band: For the Java enabled, this may prove the most constructive and useful applet yet.

Jon
Apple's put together a pretty snazzy Internet tool with the endearing yet nauseous name of CyberDog. Rather than trying to be a comprehensive Internet tool like some overwhelming feature-beasts I can think of (NetscACHOO!), it's a group of interconnected tools cooperating through Apple's object technology called OpenDoc. It's the first convincing use of this technology that I have seen. Check it out if you've got a PowerMac and at least 8 MB of RAM.

Margaret
Seeing as how my husband is from the great white north, I was particularly amused to find The Great Web Canadianier, which converts any web site into kanuck-speak. Nifty, eh?

On Tripod, make sure to check out our Toybox...for some serious fun.

Kara
US Business Advisor is a great resource for small businesses and start-ups. It offers general business resources, but emphasizes what the government can do to help get you on your way.

Randy
I'm the new kid in town, so I am still getting used to Tripod and to the Berkshires. So far, my favorite past-time on Tripod is checking out the results of the surveys. Both the Politics&Community; and Living&Travel; surveys pose some juicy questions and get some interesting responses. Of course, as the new Work&Money; editor, I'm partial to the Work&Money; surveys -- I especially enjoy getting a chance to interact with Tripod members who respond to our little brain-teasers.

Outside of Tripod, I'm getting a lot of use out of the interactive trip planning features at MapQuest. I used this ultra-nifty site to plan my move from Alabama to Massachusetts, and I plan to continue using it as I explore the Berkshire County / Southern Vermont area on weekends.

Scott
Recently, off Tripod, I enjoyed getting to know Movie Critic which lets me rate movies I've seen and then get recommendations of other movies I would like; I can even enter preferences for a friend and find movies we both will like. It's got a very friendly and easy interface.

On Tripod, I've been really enjoying the Work & Money Dilemma. Tripod members helping other Tripod members solve problems is a wonderful thing to behold.

Ethan
It's rare that I read an entire website, first link to last. But, then again, it's rare to find a site that leaves you rolling on the floor as frequently as The Onion does. Adapted from the notorious Madison, WI weekly humor newspaper, The Onion's website has been responsible for the three funniest net memes to cross my desk this past month. Don't miss the article on the international Yoga Championships, or the May 8th installment of the comic "Red Meat".

Emma
Amazon.com is a great site about books. Whether you're a compulsive book buyer or read one book a year and need help picking that special one, this site can help. You can read reviews by other members, read author interviews, and buy the books online. Amazon will even email you when it receives something you might enjoy (based on the profile you give them).

Jeff
Around here, we are keen on Sun Microsystem's Solaris operating system. Now that the Solaris manual pages are online in hyper-text, you can access these works of wonder and joy from mere netboxes! Listen, watch, and get involved. Soon you will figure out what is going on, and be able to do a few rockin' sysadmin tricks yourself.

Tung
After playing IM with the Tripod squad, coaching a fourth grade team, and watching the inaugural season of Major League Soccer, I'm all excited for soccer. Soccer Net is a great resource for finding information on games, coaching, merchandise, and more. If you want to go see a MLS game (which I encourage you to do), check the schedule on Soccer Net.

Bo
The Phantom: Because I saw it on a billboard in nyc yesterday and I want them to think their marketing works.
