Number one: Go to the Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta to hear
Reverend Frank Harrington's sermon. His advice to me was stop long
enough to learn your lessons, pick yourself up, and then move on. Number
two: repress your impulses to say what Davey Crockett said when he lost
his congressional seat after one term. He said what every defeated
politician has always wanted to say to such voters, "I'm going to Texas and
you can go to hell."
