The Baltic Coast
In the larger fishing towns along the Baltic, German and Scandinavian tourists will outnumber the hearty Polish anglers you might expect. Duck the droves of foreign tourists and neon lights during summer and set yourself up in one of the smaller fishing villages such as Niechorze or Mielno and get to know the Poles. For a faster pace, head farther east to historic Gdan;sk, birthplace of Solidarity.
