My Family's Service
My Family's Service
Hi, I'm Christine Cook. My husband LTC Rodger Cook is currently serving in Afghanistan with the United States Army Reserve. I also have a stepson, Brett, who served in Iraq for one year and is now an Army recruiter in Las Vegas. I think Brett and Rodger are heroes. They've answered the call to duty, as many men and women have, and this scrapbook is dedicated to their service. The album is still in its infancy, but I intend for it to share Rodger and Brett's stories and to chronicle their Soldier stories.

I ran across your album as I was editing my site on Tripod and it really struck a cord with me, I grew up in a military family and I to am carring on the tradition. My Fiancee is currently serving his second tour in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I loved your scrapbook and the pics, very well done and very heartfelt. Its the ladies/wives like you that give me inspiration. Thank you...Leah

I like your page. I respect every soldier who has served our country. God Bless your husband and your son. My father in law was a drill sergeant during the Vietnam war. He didn't have to go to vietnam but he did anyway. He volunteered. He reasoned, "How can I prepare troops for war when I haven't been there myself." He went there and got shot. He lost an eye and got medically discharged. He really wanted to make it a career but that was cut short. He does not regret going. He says that he believes that joining the military, even today, is a good idea.

Very impressive album, this is a great way to show pride in your family's history! It is obvious that you spent a lot of time labouring over the scanner for this website, and I, too, would like to express my hope for your husband's safe return.

Very nice photo album. What a great way to share your family's service to this and other countries. I look forward to seeing more photos as you get them posted. (I grew up in Wisconsin, so I have a number of friends who had also served in the Guard. Best wishes on a safe tour for your husband.
